There is a suspended moment
                        that occurs while hosting,

just after everything has been set up
                            but just before the guests arrive.

Time seems to pause,
                                filled with a mixture of nerves
                                    and eager anticipation.

In that solitary space,
                                    there is a palpable tension
                                        that allows the mind to buzz
                                                 and wander.

The space will soon be filled,
